Gamic guild, Africa’s Largest Guild Competes at the World’s First P2E e-Sport Competition at Metacon Dubai

Gamic guild, Africa’s foremost Blockchain startup finishes Second at Metacon Dubai.

Metacon is a multi-format convention bringing together the industry and the community.

It’s the first-ever METAVERSE into reality event, dedicated to expanding the narrative on Blockchain and NFTs. Play-to-earn changed the narratives and created massive opportunities like this to empower young people to with economic possibilities on the blockchain.

For the first time in history, young people get the chance to access and create wealth opportunities through games. Play-to-earn is enhancing mainstream adoption of cryptocurrency and the blockchain; Gamic Guild is at the forefront of this movement, setting the pace in Africa with a global impact.

Metacon held on May 28th and May 29th at The Arena, Dubai World Trade Centre. It is the very first blockchain-based multi-game esports competition, and it featured games such as Axie Infinity, Thetan Arena, and Spider. It had eight multinational guilds playing against one another. Other video game titles, such as Fight Legends, Medabots, and Swift Blowout, had their own on-site, community-based mini-tournaments hosted on the MetaArena in Dubai.

Gamic Guild finished second in the competition. The Metacon convention featured four zones; MetaStage, Metaconnect, MetaArena and MetaSpaces.

Metacon educated the attendees on the most recent advancements in blockchain gaming and technology, as well as eSports, non-fungible tokens (NFTs), Web3, art, music, and entertainment. Keynote speakers include the CEO of the Dubai Blockchain Centre, Dr. Marwan Al-Zarouni, who is also a member of the World Economic Forum’s Global Future Council, and Jason Brink, who is the president of blockchain operations at Gala Games. The Metastage panels discussed subjects such as “Play-to-Earn: The Future of Gaming,” “The Metaverse and How it Can Save our Climate Crisis,” “Ethereum Towers and Master Ventures,” and “Metaverse Real Estate versus Traditional Real Estate by Damac Properties.”

For Gamic Guild, the Metacon set the stage towards achieving the adoption of blockchain economies in Africa. Blockchain technology is positively disrupting systems and as the foremost Guild in Africa, Gamic Guild is ready to lead Africa to maximize opportunities it presents.
